I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Gartner in Sep 2025
Interview
Got a referral into the company, the entire interview process was a STRUGGLE. My "recruiter" could not have cared less about urgency. Phone screening went fine, she then had me do a full one hour virtual with her, where she didn't initially even send out the virtual meeting, I had to ask for it. I passed through that round and then the second round was even more of a struggle to get her to respond/help coordinate. She then offered a "prep session" where it only consisted of "do you have any questions?". Didn't really "prep" me. I went through to the second round which was enjoyable. She then messaged me 2 weeks later after zero communication saying "do you have time to talk?". I quickly responded yes to where she didnt respond back but instead cold called me 3 days later while I was on vacation. She then proceeded to tell me that "they haven't made up their mind and are still deciding if they want to redo the role playing portion or pass me through" and that she'd reach out the next week. Well that was about 1 month ago and I have been fully ghosted. No response to my LinkedIn messages or emails. I even reached out to the second person I interviewed with and nothing. I spent over 3 hours with them and they don't even have the respect to give a clear no. The interview process is brutal considering after 2 60 minute interviews, one including a role play, you need to have a 90 minute panel with an additional market research presentation. Bit extensive for a mid-level role. Regardless, don't waste your time unless you are OVERLY experienced for the role and have absolutely no urgency in finding a job
Intensive - multiple rounds led by a recruiter. Expect 2 rounds of role play, around 4 rounds total. 2 with a recruiter, one with a lead skills expert and another panel with VPs and hiring managers.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Gartner in May 2026
Interview
30 minute phone call with recruiter. Next is 1 hour with recruiter about your background, behavioral questions. Then 1 hour with LSA with questions on your background and a role play.
HR is very accommodating and helpful through the whole process. It can be a little confusing how they structure and and label their position but easily cleared up when talking in first rounds. They are professional and get back quickly. Overall a very positive experience.
