I applied online. I interviewed at GE (Querétaro, Querétaro) in Jan 2018
Interview
Interview consisted in two parts, one by phone with general topics about experience and education and the second one with technical questions related to the job that you are applying to.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Draw a Brayton cycle diagram and show were are the components of the engine, change the maximum temperature allowed and tell what happened to the cycle.
I applied through university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GE in Dec 2015
Interview
Recruiters came to our campus for hiring. There was a simple test first, a theoretical multiple choice. Shortlisted candidates were then interviewed. Engineering manager and HR interview each lasted approx. 1 hr.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at GE (Erie, PA) in Jan 2012
Interview
Highly structured and impersonal. I was referred by another employee. Only because of this did I receive an interview. I had been applying on my own without the employee referral for 6 months on over a dozen positions before I got a response.

Question 1
Behavioral based questions. The most ridiculous question I have ever been asked was asked by GE. It was, "if you were part of a bicycle, which part would you be and why?" Luckily I didn't laugh.
