I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Ford Motor Company
Interview
Technical Staffing firm did initial interview for salary, goals, and discussion of the position description
Ford did in person interview with a panel of a few engineers for about an hour. Far too short.
Questions were basic and straight forward. Some were about problem solving, describing how you would handle a issue reported as broken. Fit was important so a lot of the questions were to ask about fit and there was discussion between team members to see how the candidate would react, interject, or comment.
Team was very positive, team oriented, and focused on knowledge sharing.
Staffing firm was pushy, wanted to commit to job before interview, wanted to know if you wanted to take it before the final offer was given. It was a strong turn off and at one point I almost walked away from the process out of being pushed to make a decision.
HR reached out and scheduled an interview
Quick phone screen then a few interviews with 3 to 4 engineers. All of the interviews were related to project planning and customer interaction

I applied online. I interviewed at Ford Motor Company
Interview
Interview process wasn't so difficult. You have to take a test to prequalify for the in person interview. Once at the in person interview, they flew me to MI to do the interview. There wasnt many technical questions. It was mostly situational questions.
