I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Eton Solutions (Raleigh, NC)
Interview
framed the opportunity and role one way then switched it later on in the process. went as far as to fly me down and meet with the executive team, had some concerns going into it but seemed as though there was a logical path forward. the offer made was beneath market AND the number i stated in the first conversation i would need as a salary baseline, a very wide margin. further, the documentation and legal related information was obviously just repurposed from the MFO to the SaaS entity, it was very concerning a caught that on their behalf. they committed to getting a new offer and correct offer/contract to me, then ghosted. totally amateur hour but also speaks to how they handle business and potentially clients.
A good interview experience overall. Easy-Moderate questions. Have a fair understanding of your respective domain, should be good enough. Was more conversational. Lasted for twenty minutes on an average. 3 rounds in total.

Interview
I have debated on posting this for months, but decided I should. The 1st two rounds were completely normal, I had a video interview with their HR person, I moved forward to the 2nd round with their VP of Marketing (who was fabulous, so kind, and can’t say enough good things about). The 3rd round was truly horrible. I had to meet at a Starbucks with one of their chairmen, which I thought was odd for many reasons. The interview was supposed to last 1 hour, it ended up lasting 2 hours. Not because the conversation was good, the interviewer would not stop talking about the product. It felt as if he was selling me the software service for the whole interview and it was an abuse of my time going 1 hour over the allotted time. I never heard anything back from the HR person so I followed up and was ghosted. The main reason I am posting this is because Eton needs to do a better job of following up with candidates that made it to a 3rd round of interviews, it's just the decent thing to do. Secondly, if an interview is supposed to be 1 hour, do not waste an interviewees time with pointless chatter about what the software does. If you have been ghosted by Eton, you are not alone. Do better!
