Interview
Phone interview was set up after my resume was picked up by the Epic College Recruiting folks. Prior to the phone interview, I was to complete an online assessment, which comprised of: Speed Math (2 min), Math, Reading/Grammer, Programming.
After the test was processed and a few weeks passed, I was invited for an onsite interview. While onsite, we were given an itinerary of activities to be done (depending on the job one was being interviewed for). PMs were to participate in a group activity of a hypothetical conflict resolution, followed by an independent presentation to your recruiter, and a final interview. During the final interview, a number of personal questions were asked, including but not limited to: greatest weakness, what you believe the biggest misconception people may have about you, interests, life-changing experiences, etc.
For the technical services position, I was placed in a small room with a computer and set to complete four programming tasks using about any language that I wanted. One of the questions may have been to create a function which can take in an NxN matrix and can be configured to spin either clockwise or counterclockwise for any number of spins.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Epic (Madison, WI) in Jun 2012

The overall process is long but very organized and streamlined. The HR department does an amazing job with keeping in touch and moving things along. The onsite interview is a great opportunity to really see what this company is all about. The employees are definitely young and with the dress being casual it feels like a college campus. Madison itself is a little bit aways but the city seems awesome with tons of restaurants and bike paths etc. There will be lots of other candidates and majority will be new grads applying for their first jobs. Very few candidates that are 30+. The majority of the Epic employees you meet will have been there 5 years +. Not sure if this is intentional or not. By the end of the day there should be no questions on your part that are unanswered.
