I first had an HR phone call with a technical recruiter. I was then given an online coding interview. I was not able to pass the online coding interview as the languages provided by their hackerrank were not languages I was comfortable in.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DraftKings in Sep 2019
Interview
I am a sophomore studying computer science and engineering. DraftKings reached out to me from the Grace Hopper resume database.
They then conducted a phone screening with basic questions about experience and about my resume. Afterwards, I was sent a HackerRank coding challenge. The HackerRank was challenging, but I managed to pass all test cases and was given a technical interview. The technical interview was fine (the interviewer was pleasant but didn't give much guidance), but was very object oriented and was very different from other algorithms based interview questions. I managed to somewhat complete it, but received a rejection.
Throughout the whole process I was given object oriented programming where I had to chose from certain object oriented languages (I was not allowed to pick any language).
I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at DraftKings
Interview
I had a technical phone screen first with a developer. I answered the question with a solution that worked, but wasn't given any further interviews. The developer did not give me any feedback at the end of the interview and just promptly ended it after I finished answering. I emailed the recruiter asking for feedback as well, but received no response.
