I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DraftKings (Boston, MA) in Dec 2016
Interview
Applied online. Contacted next day for Phone interview. 30 minutes. Very unprofessional experience. Initially, I was excited due to their fun reputation. Unfortunately, I read about how they are backed up on vendor payments and had to merge with Fan Duel. Despite this, I was still excited, but then HR called me 36 minutes after the proposed time. I insisted that I had a meeting in 20 and couldn't talk. I had just sent out a set of times to meet in future. HR encouraged we talk then offering no explanation for why they were so late to call. We ran through my resume. With 8 minutes left, I emphasized my time limit given HR had called 36 minutes late and I had made clear in email and again on phone that I had a meeting at 2PM. “This will be quick,” the HR person said. He then proceeded to ask me these pointless brainteasers. I was immediately turned off. Brainteasers have been proven time and time again to show you nothing about a candidate. Google outlawed them and said, “they serve only to make the interviewer feel smart.” Given my aversion to brainteasers and how short a time I had to answer them, I purposely bombed them so I could make my meeting at work. I currently have a very good job, and was only browsing as I near the end of my MBA. This is a company to avoid. Their professionalism, their situation with regulations has made them cash poor, and the company’s style of interviewing all leave something to be desired. I would recommend a company with a stronger financial situation and one that interviews with case interviews or behavioral which is proven to show more about a person (and thus you'll end up with better colleagues).
The boss and HR was unprofessional and even arrogant at the interview, which makes me think that those comments for the toxic leadership here are true. The company Visit card said: "inspiring work environment", but the reality for me differs. So sad - what a loose of valuable time and efforts..
The interview process was smooth with 3 rounds technical, 2 rounds behavioral. The questions were fair game and recruiter will give context up on technical interviews beforehand if you simply ask.
applied, had an oa coding assessment on hackerrank, and was reached out to do a virtual technical interview for an hour. OA was pretty simple and had plenty of time to do it.
