Received an email stating they were interesting in learning more about me and asked if I was available for a video interview. No question were asked on my background or experiences just straight to technical questioning, which was never stated, so be warned and prepared. Two of the three people on the call seemed completely disinterested from the get go and barely said a word, the third at least remained professional. To be completely fair, after a few minutes of this I responded with a similar demeanor. I was asked a series of rote questions, such as the verbalize the path to windows services or what command could be used to reach it, or what command shows free space on Linux. After about 10 minutes of this, the main interview said they’d be in touch in the next week, the other two at best looked up to the camera briefly to say goodbye.
It seemed bizarre they even bother to interview me when I made it clear I was coming from more a development background and likely wouldn’t know the optimal raid configuration for a particular set up off the top of my head. Truly, the two interviewers seemed inconvenienced by having to “participate” in the interview if you can call it that.
I received a received a rejection response in the same day, and they were kind enough to reiterate by emailing me the same results again about a week later. Really didn’t not care the interview process and this is the first I’ve had in my life negative enough to warrant my writing a review.
