I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Compliance Implementation Services in Aug 2015
Interview
CIS has recently been acquired by the much-larger consulting firm Deloitte. While I can't fairly speak to the quality of the organization or its primary staff, I will volunteer that the internal HR recruiter I interacted with was very unprofessional. She contacted me several weeks after I applied for an open position and I had several phone screenings with HR and leadership of the department in which the position was located. These screenings were held in quick succession and all occurred in the span of a week. They seemed to progress very well with the indication that my candidacy was moving forward.
Then - nothing. I attempted to contact the HR recruiter several times via both e-mail and phone over the ensuing month. After being ignored for 4 weeks, I finally received a form letter indicating that they'd gone another direction. Fine - I'm not complaining about their decision, but rather the complete lack of response from a supposedly professional recruiter who sought me out. I've worked with several recruiters in the past, but never one who was so completely unresponsive during an ongoing screening process.
Bottom line - this company is growing, but be aware that they are clearly having growing pains with regards to the ability of HR to properly screen candidates for new and vacant positions.

Question 1
Interviews were general in nature - nothing really unexpected. For better or worse, interviewers spent more time taking than interviewee.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Compliance Implementation Services (Durham, NC) in Nov 2014
Interview
First you go through a basic getting to know you phone call after which they will provide you with an assignment, short code solution, which is ridiculously easy to finish. Afterwards, they will schedule a technical interview via phone, after which they will schedule on site interview. However, it seemed they wanted to hammer things out asap, so they really pushed the whole process. However, the entire time it was unclear where the job will be, whether it's in Tennessee or in North Carolina and what would the position be. The recruiting agency and the company had some miscommunication.

Basic python questions you can find online, difference between a list and a tuple, basic commands for string etc.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Compliance Implementation Services (Newton, PA)
Interview
I interviewed with CIS in January 2014. I started with a phone interview and then about a week later I came in for an in-person interview. Advice to candidates: I do not recommend applying to or working for this Company. The person in charge of recruiting was not very forthcoming with me throughout the process. I interviewed with the company after a referral. The phone interview was normal. Tell me about yourself. Why do you want to work in the bio/pharma industries? Why do you want to work here? After about a week I moved on to an in-person interview. The interview was very reasonable. The VPs and managers were very kind and respectful. None of their questions were very difficult. The office had a laid back culture about it. Jeans casual dress was the norm. I thought it was a nice clean office space in a comfortable business park. They just wanted to know about your background, asked some behavioral questions to see how you would respond to typical situations, they wanted to know about your interests and why you would be a good fit for their team. After my interview I received very positive feedback. I had another interview around the same time and to be respectful I wanted to give my response after hearing out the other company. The HR recruiter and I agreed on a date to give an answer by. By the specified date I came to the conclusion that I wanted to work for CIS. The HR person said she would relay this information to the business leaders and get back to me. For 4 weeks I would ask for updates on whether the HR person had heard from the business leaders. She said a snow storm had come through which delayed scheduling and prevented the company from formally extending me an offer. (Mind you the other company I interviewed was in an area with an even worse snow storm yet they were still able to extend me an offer). Eventually she told me that the company had changed its mind and that its business needs changed. I will say this was an employee referral and not a response to a formal posting online. While disappointed I continued to pursue the company due to my strong interest in the industry and to work in consulting. About a month later I was told that the team was ramping up for hires and collecting resumes. So I resubmitted. I heard nothing. So I followed up with the HR person about a month after that after seeing actual job postings online. Given my positive interview experience I thought it would be a smooth transition into the newly opened roles. Approximately a month after submitting for the roles, the recruiter told me once again that she did not have any open roles even though there were postings online. Even now the same postings are still on the website 3 months after the fact. The company seemed to string me along with a false interest in my candidacy. I will say this as well: Please look at the other reviews.

Question 1
Nothing difficult. It was unexpected to be asked to perform a MS excel test on the spot; however, it was not difficult and used to ensure a lot of time was not spent training an individual or the use of MS excel. very reasonable.
