      Graphic Designer Interview

      Nov 24, 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Durham, NC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Commvault (Durham, NC) in Oct 2024

      Interview

The first round of interviews was with an AI bot. The bot took an extended period of time to respond. After completing the requested questions and statements, it started the entire process over with no recognition of previous responses. After an email follow-up it was clear the email was also run by AI and directing me in circles.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

(Q1) Are you currently employed? If yes, tell me about it, and have you ever worked from home or online before. If yes, when and what was the nature of the job? (Q2) How do you incorporate feedback into your designs? What’s a time you received hard criticism for your work? (Q3) Describe your creative process. What are the major steps? (Q4) What brands do you most admire and how do they influence your work? (Q5) How do you meet tough deadlines? Tell me about a time you completed great work under pressure (Q6) Tell me about your experience working remotely. What do you feel is important to make sure the work gets done efficiently? (Q7) How do you measure the success of your designs? (Q8) In one paragraph I need you to tell me why you should be hired. Provide 2 professional references.

Thank you for leaving your feedback. Unfortunately, the process you described is part of a recruiting scam that is currently happening and was not a real Commvault interview process. Recruiting scams are occurring more in the recent months targeted a variety of companies, and we are unfortunately unable to stop it from happening. Please note that Commvault does not start our interview process with an AI bot, we do not conduct interviews by email or text, and we will never ask you to submit a W4 via email or prior to your first day of employment. All of our interviews have a video interview component after speaking live with a recruiter. We are sorry to hear you experienced this recruiting scam, but please know this is not a reflection of our real recruiting process. We encourage you to remain diligent in your job search and if you feel an interview process seems unusual, reach out directly to the company. You can also find more tips about job scams and how to avoid them on the FTC’s website. Morgan Whyte, Head of Talent Acquisition
