After applying for a position, I received an automated email to let me know my application was accepted. There was no indication of a ‘next step’, so an applicant is simply in limbo as to whether or not they are progressing through whatever the company’s hiring process is.
HR can definitely professionalize their hiring processes. It’s been a couple weeks and I have no idea if I am even being considered.

Interview
University internship position. The interview was very informal and friendly. Consisted of both a competence and technical interview. Competency part, I had to give examples of of my experience in relation to the skills provided on the job spec. The technical side is based on university modules, in particular the financial markets.
