I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (New York, NY)
Interview
I walked in and was told to sit with like seven other people. It was a group interview conducted by the general manager and the apprentice. The kitchen manager was there for a while too. You had to introduce yourself and say why you want to work at Chipotle. They would ask a question and then we would take turns answering it. It was really short (half an hour), the GM seemed impressed by my knowledge of chipotle's background and the terms and the mission statement, no other applicant was familiar with it. I'm honestly surprised that I wasn't asked back for a second interview, maybe they didn't want someone who knew about the company idk. Literally the next day they emailed that they were unable to offer me the job, so you will hear back quickly.

Question 1
Does anyone know anything about how Chipotle was founded?
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.

Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
