I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Chipotle (Sugar Land, TX) in Apr 2015
Interview
After completing the online application, an interview is scheduled by email. I couldn't make the originally scheduled date, so I ended up having a one-on-one interview rather than the group interviews they seem to usually have according to other reviews. When I went, the location was still somewhat busy with customers, so they had me sit and wait a few minutes. Eventually one of the kitchen managers joined me at the table. We introduced ourselves, I answered a few standard questions, and the whole process was over in under 10 minutes.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
