I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Chipotle in Apr 2014
Interview
The process consisted of multiple interviews. The first was with the crew, which was a new experience. Then with a manager, and finally with the GM. The process was relaxed, but don't let that fool you. A professional demeanor is what determines your long term ability to progress.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
