Application
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chef Software (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2016
Interview
I was referred by an employee and applied online. I was contacted shortly thereafter for an initial phone screen covering the basic information and why I wanted to be at Chef and what would make me successful with the team. Following the phone screen I was told that I would come in for an in person interview.
The in person interview was explained clearly and fairly straightforward. I was given a paper ahead of time and instructed to create a presentation. The day started with the presentation in front of the sales team. Afterwards a series of Q&A was conducted to make sure you understand the subject matter. Following the presentation there was a series of interviews (either 1:1 or with a couple people). The day lasted about 3.5 hours in total.
Overall, the environment was great and the day flew by!
