The process started with a recruiter screen focused on experience, metrics, and some situational questions. The second interview with the Mid-Market Sales Leader was a deeper dive into leadership style, sales process, forecasting, and coaching philosophy with a lot of situational questions.
The third interview with the Head of Sales was much more unstructured and personal than I expected. It focused more on personality, background, and personal motivations. The interviewer interrupted frequently and often jumped between topics, which made it difficult to fully develop answers.
Everyone I interacted with was professional and kind throughout the process, but candidates should be prepared for a more psychological and conversational interview style in later rounds rather than a traditional structured leadership interview.
Overall, I appreciated meeting the team and learning more about Canva, but the final interview style personally did not resonate with me and felt difficult to navigate at times.
