I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Cal Poly Pomona (Chicago, IL) in Aug 2018
Interview
There were multiple rounds to the faculty interview process:
- Application submission
- Initial screening (in person)
- Final interview (one of three finalists)
Note that this process overall was slower than other schools due to the level of paperwork and other approvals required at CPP/CSUs.

Tenure track faculty positions require a Ph.D. The interview process for all faculty (regardless of university) is a long process. Allocated positions are selected the year before the search. The search is a manual process requiring letter of application, full vitae, reference letters, and official transcript. Candidates are selected by a faculty committee that prescreens for complete files, fit with program, and multiple interviews.
