Interview
First I had a phone call interview with a recruiter. Then I had a first round interview with the manager. He asked a lot of behavioral questions. Then he asked me questions specific to data modeling and the finance industry.
Six interviews over two months.
Recruiter screen: standard behavioral-question call (recruiter asked questions and took notes).
Five additional interviews: mostly conversational in tone, but focusing on tough experiences.
Worth noting that interview invites to specific times were sent for the wrong time zone for 3 of the interviews. As an interviewee I made do, but it soured the experience slightly. The AI recruiting assistant does not show a time zone when selecting the available time slots. Additionally, emails regarding interviews often arrived after the recruiting assistant messages were sent and times already selected.
Overall impression: unnecessarily lengthy process with mostly informal conversations. The interview assistant product design leaves a lot of room for improvement.
