Bose is one of the worst companies I’ve ever seen with their Interview process. They initially had a lead Android position they were recruiting for via Ranstad as a contractor. Two people from Ranstad contacted me about the same job, even after one already had me in process. I got to the phone screen, they asked a lot of softball questions then then passed. One thing to note is that the person interviewing me basically said that they were looking to get people for less than market rate. I gave them a rate at market. A few months later they were still trying to fill it so another contracting house contacted me about it. Out of curiosity I told the recruiter to give it a try and they passed again with no interview. A few more months passed and then a recruiter directly from Bose contacted me, again, about the same job as an FTE. I gave them a market rate salary had another softball interview on the phone and another pass. That was after the person for the phone screen initially did not call due to technical difficulties. I very rarely get passed on the phone screen portion. Looking at who they’ve hired in other departments, it looks like they are trying to get people on the cheap, are disorganized and don't seem to hire for actual skill.
