Timeline is at follows:
- Submitted Application
- 6 business days later received a request to talk with the recruiter.
- 1 business day later spoke with the recruiter who asked me a few questions and said she'd forward my resume onto the hiring managers to see if they wanted to interview me.
- 1 business day later received a pre-screen notification for Secret Clearance
- 2 business days received a phone call from second recruiter asking for my availability so she could ask the recruiting coordinator to schedule my interview.
- 2 business days later had the job interview.
- 1 business day later sent my Thank You Letters to the recruiting coordinator
- 5 business days later followed up with the recruiting coordinator to make sure she saw my Thank You Letters. She apologized for missing them and asked me to send over copies again.
- 4 business days later (10 business days after the interview with the hiring manager) followed up with original recruiter. She apologized for the delay (apparently interviews were ongoing due to the number of open positions), but said that the hiring managers decided to go with someone more experience.
The interview itself was a combination of asking to explain my experience and a few behavioral questions. The interviewers were very friendly and easy to talk to. I was a little surprised when they apologized for going a minute over at the half an hour mark, because my email stated the interview would take approximately 1 hour (maybe a copy and paste oversight?) . But I was hopeful because the interview went rather well and at the end of the interview the two interviewers told me I should hear back within a couple of days and then bragged how fast Booz Allen was in the hiring process given the company's relative size. I'm sad not to get the position since I thought the interviewers were so nice and BAH seems like a good place to work, but what can you do?
