The pre-screening portion of the interview went well. However, the actual interview was horrendous. It was conducted in a busy coffee shop; that we had to sit outside because of the crowd. The cool breeze, bright sun, and other patrons; added to the difficulty of this interview. The point of contact never showed, and the individuals leading/involved in the interview, showed up 10+ mins late. Then, two other individuals showed up 5 mins later. It turns out that all four individuals involved in my interview, were engineers (2 M.E. and 2 E.E.). During the attempted interview, I was interrupted and forcefully cutoff countless times. I couldn't really answer any of the questions because of the persistent interruptions. I understand the 'good guy/bad guy' approach to an interview, but this was borderline malicious. There was no manger, or another qualified individual, to lead the direction of the interview. It was chaotic at best, and was the worst interview I've been a part of. As a veteran with a technical background, I've had more than a dozen interviews in the last 10-12 years. Even when I have not secured a position in the past; I have received many follow up phone calls, commending me on my interview prowess. However, this is the first interview that I would never want to repeat to try again. I've heard good things about working at Booz Allen Hamilton, and hoped to have an opportunity to explore a future there. Sadly, I don't believe that I'll ever apply for another position with them; for fear of repeating this ordeal again.
