I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Billfire (Scottsdale, AZ) in Aug 2021
Interview
I'm a software engineer and applied because I have strong NodeJS/backend/AWS experience. There were two interviews total: first was with the Lead Platform Engineer and second was with Lead Engineer again and COO. There were several questions around AWS and component interconnectivity, including a brief debugging session. I felt like my knowledge was definitely tested so be sure to come prepared (I've been using AWS for years).
I left with a very positive impression of the people and the company as a whole--they seemed very level-headed. I had follow-up questions after the interview and they went out of the way to get back to me promptly.

Interview
The interview I had was with the hiring manager. They were easy going and transparent. The job requires a unique blend of skills, abilities and experience, all at a high level. There wasn't a coding portion of the interview but I ma have not made it that far. Unfortunately, I did not have enough to get an offer but the manager will forever have an impact on me.
The interview was set for an hour. About 20 minutes or so in we knew it wasn't going to be a fit but they were willing to use the remaining time to correct a question I got wrong and answer any DevSecOps questions I had. I learned a great deal from this interview and I appreciated the time they took to give me advice and teach me things that will help me land a job.
