The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Best Buy in May 2012
Interview
I applied online and one day I went to best buy with a full suit looking for a manager. The manager ask me to leave a phone number and name. Also left my resume. Best Buy called me but I missed their call only because I was working at my other job. So I couldn't reach them with a simple phone call so I went up there again and left my name with another manager.
Eventually, I got the interview with the operation manager and she ask me the usual questions (i.e. tell me about yourself, what is your weaknesses and strengths). Then she asked me to sell these pens. I will tell you to sell these pens like you are the expert of pens. I feel that helped me with the second interview.
The second interview is with the GM of the store, which is a little more relax. I feel the GM want to meet the potential hire and see what feeling he/she would have with talking with them. Make sure you are relax and honest with why you chose Best Buy to work.
it was a typical process. go to job application, upload details, answer some questions, then was called in for in person interview. pretty laid back. the manager seemed to backfill the role.
Very challenging but fair. The interview was very quick. I felt that it was very thorough and asked good quest about customer service, I liked the atmosphere and think it would be a good opportunity.
Easy interview process, asked simple questions and allowed me to fully answer them. Asked direct questions that pertained to the line of work and how things would be handled from my point of view
