Interview
Bentley Systems visited our college campus of PVG's COET, PUNE in oct 2023. The hiring process began with a simple coding round consisting 2 easy programs. They shortlisted 16 students out of 150 for next round. Next round was conducted at their office at MagarPatta, Pune on the next day. This is also a coding round and consisted 2 moderate coding questions. Again, they shortlisted only 2 of all 16 students for technical interview on the same day. Me and my friend got an opportunity to interview at Bentley Systems. After that they scheduled 3 technical rounds and a HR round for selection. Two persons interviewed me and it was of moderate level. Starting with a brief intro, They mostly focused on my projects and also asked me about object oriented programming. They even shown me the codes that i submitted during the previous rounds and asked me to explain the strategy i applied to solve the problems. I tried my best to control my nervousness, but lack of communication skills and absence of major project lead to my failure at technical round at Bentley Systems.

1) Walk through your projects and explain the best out of them. 2) what are hashmaps. 3) Pillers of OOP, what is polymorphism and its types 4) Overloading,overriding, virutal method, pure virtual method, abstract classes, interface. 5) why only change in return type can't be an example of method overloading ? 6) Explain MERGE-SORT with proper example as if you are explaining to a 5-year-old child.
They asked about my side projects, a particular guy was unimpressive, i thought the interview will be about my technical assessment but it was the other way. I was asked about data sharing across databases, and was asked to solve a string problem

I did not advance past this stage but I believe there was a take home assessment after this. There may have been one final interview after that

The interview process involved the typical interview rounds as in other companies. Initial round was a tele phone screening with recruiter, followed by two technical rounds with the corresponding team members.
