Average interview
Application
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Bazaarvoice in Mar 2025
Interview
The process started positively and professionally. First, there was a call with HR, followed by an interview with the manager and her superior. Then I received a homework assignment (covering technical and soft skills). After submitting it, I had a team interview, and finally, a conversation with someone from a different team.
Structure
I was originally informed there would be three steps, but it turned into four interviews. Additionally, one of the homework tasks was delayed due to being forgotten, which disrupted the expected flow.
Feedback
HR shared very encouraging feedback from the managers ("highly positive") and described my test submissions as "amazing." Despite this, I never received a clear explanation for the final rejection—even weeks after the final step. I'm sharing this review now because I’m still waiting and feel the process lacked closure.
Timeline
A decision was promised "early next week" after the last step, then postponed. I eventually had to set a final deadline myself—only to receive a response one day past that date, nearly a month after the last conversation.
Positive Note
The HR representative was consistently supportive and communicative throughout. Their professionalism was the highlight of the experience and kept things on a positive note, even as delays and miscommunication increased.

Interview
Time wasters. I had a total of 9 interviews/interactions here. A pre-call with HR, a phone interview, an in-person interview with 4 different people at their offices and then they ask you to do a presentation which ended up also being two other calls and a panel interview of 4 people. I very much considered dropping out of the process as preparing for the presentation took so much time that I could have been preparing for other interviews I had. It is a huge ask for candidates to go through so many interviews for a role that isn't even senior management. Once I was accepted to the presentation stage, it felt like the previous 6 interviews had been a complete waste of time as the whole focus was on the presentation. It feels pretty unprofessional to ask people to dedicate so much of their time to this. And then I didn't even hear back for over a week.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bazaarvoice (East Melbourne) in Sep 2016
Interview
Started with two phone calls from the recruiter and technical test specialist and followed with technical test and eventually an interview. The questions were mostly a chat between both of us nothing serious mostly asking questions about the role. The technical part is mostly based on CSS,HTML,XML and Java script.
