      Interview

Completing the Bank of America HireVue interview felt like a unique mix of excitement and pressure. Once you begin, the questions appear one at a time, and you have a short period to gather your thoughts before the recording starts. Each question gives you around 30 seconds to a minute to prepare, so there’s a need to think on your feet but also stay calm. The questions are primarily behavioral, like explaining a challenge you’ve faced or a time you showed leadership. You might also be asked why you want to work at Bank of America and what you know about their goals and values, so researching the company beforehand really helps. One tip: structure your answers using the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) method. This kept my responses organized and helped me stay concise. There’s no interaction with an interviewer, which can feel strange, but focusing on the camera and imagining you’re talking to someone directly can make your responses feel more genuine. Practicing recording yourself beforehand can also help you feel more natural with the format.
