      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Baker Hughes (Mumbai) in Dec 2020

      Interview

I applied through the Baker Hughes career portal and after two days I got the call from the recruitment team that your CV is shortlisted and you are invited for an online test. The whole selection process was pretty easy. 1. Online Test: MCQ related to C#/.Net Basics 2. Technical Interview - 1 through Microsoft Teams 3. Technical Interview - 2 through Microsoft Teams 4. Technical Managerial Round through Microsoft Teams. 5. HR Discussion 1. MCQ Test was pretty simple, only a few questions were there which were a little difficult/conceptually asked but if you have good understanding of C#/OOPS then everything will be fine for you. 2. Technical interview -1 went around for 1 hour and Interview were very cool, He asked me to code a simple problem - whether a given input is palindrome or not but do not use any predefined method for anything, use any other data structure to hold the string, and different data structure to check whether the input is palindrome or not. And then we had a discussion in and out about C#, OOPS, MVC, SQL, JS, Web API/REST API, WCF. 3. Technical Interview - 2 also went for around 1 hour and again the person was very cool, he asked me to code a program - to find whether the given input is Anagram or not but do not use any predefined/existing functions or scenarios to sort or reverse the input. And he asked me a various question and we had a good discussion over C#, OOPS, MVC, Rest API, JS, JQuery, T-SQL, SQL Server, Database Concept, WPF, Winforms, 4. Technical Managerial Round - It was pretty easy, Sr Manager - Software Engineer was there. He just wanted to check my understanding of technology, my interests, and my willingness, and about me. We had a very good discussion and he also asked me some basic technical questions moreover he wanted to understand whether my concepts were clear or not. He asked me to think about a transaction in SQL and put insert, commit, a rollback in try-catch, and finally. 5. HR Discussion: HR wanted to know why you are interested in joining Baker Hughes, Why are you leaving your current organization, what type of person you are, your hobbies, your interests, If you face any problem in your previous/current organization if yes then how did you face it, what challenges you have faced and how did you overcome it, your relation with team members and yes salary discussion. And yes there were common questions in every round - Introduction, why are you leaving the current company, what technology stack you have, willingness to learn new things, etc. Finally everything was very nice and smooth, I got an offer from Baker Hughes, India
