I worked at Baker Hughes full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    1. Global brand recognition with top tier technology 2. Diverse but team culture 3. Excellent opportunities to work & collaborate with some of the top O&G companies globally. 4. Great network of individuals that I still maintain today. 5. Fair pay with excellent benefits and Severance Package.

    Cons

    1. Bureaucracy of a typical large, multinational corporation would sometimes cause things to advance at a much slower than desired pace with respect to contracts and R&D. 2. Job security sometimes trumped innovation and change. 3. Although purchase of BJ Services expanded my personal network, I believe it was not handled well at all with respect to integrating it into the BHI family of companies.
