BNP Paribas is the most disorganized and discriminatory place I have ever been interviewed. As I was unemployed I was interviewed twice by a senior manager who was very interested in my skills and experience. However, as any new hire, I had to go through a graphologic test and psychological interview one on one with a young, inexperienced and blunt psychologist woman to be approved. She made me fill a four-page application by handwriting and then had an interview with me completely unrelated to the position, my skills or experience, with only questions about what type of person I am, what kind of persons I like to work with, what other jobs I was applying for, what would happen if I did not get any of them, how would I survive then etc. She tried to make me lose my self-confidence and the whole process was very offensive and uncomfortable. I did not get the job probably because of this last interview but I don't regret it now as I am working with a ten times better and more human employer. I realize also that the whole process was very discriminatory as only persons with the right "mould" coming from a certain French social class could succeed through this process, whatever their abilities and suitability to the position. By the way they did not mind that three months elapsed between my first interview and their final decision, during which time I was unemployed and my life was depending on their decision.
