      Purchasing Clerk Interview

      Apr 5, 2022
      Anonymous employee
      Glendora, CA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at BEC (Glendora, CA) in Mar 2022

      Interview

Went through an agency. Had an interview and a few days later, I got an offer. It was direct hire and they 2x PTO days offered as a new hire. But it still was comparable or less then I'm making now, so I countered for $2 more. I still wanted the job because of hours and it's really close to home. Not only did they reject it (disappointed, but understandable) but they withdrew the job entirely. I've never seen a company do that. I guess they got insulted that I was asking for the money, though wasn't past their threshold of maximum pay. I was disappointed to say the least. I was very excited to move on to something new and for them to pull the rug from underneath like that is very unfortunate. I had written my letter of resignation to my current job. Luckily, I didn't submitted it. Honestly, I thought I did everything by the book. Maybe it's different because it's through an agency but still, very upsetting.
