I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Asana in Sep 2019
Interview
Extremely fast -- but I applied early. Big emphasis on design, all technical interviews were on Google docs.
- 1hr technical phone interview with an engineering manager. Design -- coding was done on a Google doc
- 3 back-to-back "virtual onsite" video technical interviews:
- 1hr on Google doc. Standard algorithm question
- 2hr. They give you a problem to code up, give you 70 minutes to do it, then come back to discuss
- 45 min. Standard algorithm questions

Question 1
Design a chess game. Design a printer. array manipulation
very standard oa - phone - onsite process except they dropped the ball a couple of times that made me miss the opportunity to have the final round of interview before roles were filled. Very disappointed

Question 1
leetcode style question, very standard. but I heard they have SD for final round which is both ridiculous and funny
I applied online. I interviewed at Asana (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2025
Interview
Very straightforward process with a codesignal followed by a coding round, then an onsite with a system design then behavioral interview. Questions were leetcode focused but generally easy to find online

Question 1
There was a question about a very hungry rabbit, I'm sure you can find this one online
several interviews and all super difficult for an internship level. The expectations is that you are a very seasoned junior, not a student. Friendly interviewers but the technical components is quite challenging.
