Apple Design implementation engineer interview questions

I was contacted by a recruiter and did a 45 minute phone interview. They told me it would be a technical interview, and I was surprised that the interview started out with asking about what grades I got in specific classes and asking how many people got A's in those classes. I didn't have these off top of my head and had to dummage through my transcript. A good chunk of interview time was wasted on this. I think they could have just asked for my transcript instead. Afterwards, I was asked some technical questions but did not have time to answer too many of them because of the grade searches in the beginning. I was very disappointed with this experience.
