Complete Waste of Time and Energy Interview

      Oct 4, 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at AppDynamics

      Interview

Had initial interview with recruiter, which progressed to an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager, then had a member of their technical team interview me. Once I passed this hurdle, I then met the hiring manager who told me I will hear from them next week about next steps. I never heard back. Not only did I not hear back, I never received any responses to inquiries re: the status of the position, which incidentally was reposted about a month after I originally interviewed. I totally understand if a candidate is not a fit for the position, but have the common decency to let an applicant know one way or another. Going dark on an applicant, is totally unprofessional and reflects extremely poorly on the company as a whole, no matter how wonderful they believe they are. They may have a high Net Promoter Score from their customers.. good for them.
