I received a cold call from a recruiter asking me to come in for an interview for a management position- clearly the recruiter had not read my resume because she was surprised I had just left the Military. Since I try to keep an open mind I decided to come in for an interview and see what they had to offer. I arrived at the office location and quickly realized that I was part of a 10 person line up and was handed a generic form to fill out. Then they called my name and I went in for an interview with an unprofessionally dressed man. After I was asked a couple generic questions that could have been answered by reading my resume, I specifically asked what position I was interviewing for because obviously this wasn't a management position. He gave a vague answer and so I asked specifically if I was interviewing for a starting sales position and he gave another vague answer. At that point, I realized I had been lied to about the position. I thanked him for his time and left the office.
