I applied online. I interviewed at Allstate in Nov 2015
Interview
I applied online and was contacted through email to do a phone screening that was automated. It was basically a prerecorded voice that was asking a question and you recorded your answer. The questions were really hard to hear, so I'd wear headphones at max volume (even then it was hard to hear and I missed the first question because of it). The questions were not hard and were basic questions.
Interview process is simple they ask simple question from microservices architecuter, spring boot, java 8, and few question from db side.
explain the cap theorem from db side
Expalin many to many mapping

I applied through university. I interviewed at Allstate (Phoenix, AZ) in Nov 2019
Interview
The interview was very smooth, it was behavioral questions and I had to use the STAR method to answer them. It was not overwhelming, it only lasted about 30-40 mins, about 4 questions, the person that interviewed me seemed calm, patient, and showed me that she loves where works!
