I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Alaska Airlines (Corona, CA)
Interview
This process for me was amazing!!!!! I applied back in September of 2016. I received an email to complete a video interview in February of 2017. In May I received an invitation to attend a face to face interview.
On May 16th , I attended the face to face interview where there were a total of 60 candidates. After we checked in we were each given a group interview time and a 1 on 1 time.
My group consisted of 13 candidates with 2 recruiters and 2 Alaska flight attendants. They broke us into groups of 4 and gave us a scenario to work out as a group and hen present to the panel. They also asked us to act it out. We then answered the question.
"What word best describes you"
After our group interview that seemed to last only 40 min, we went back into the main room to wait for 1 on 1 in my case, we had the chance to mingle with other candidates and Alaska flight attendants that they had working the room. Great chance to ask them any questions you want.
1:30pm came and it was time for my 1 on 1 with a recruiter. My interview seemed to last only 25 min or less. After I was finished I went back into the main holding room where I noticed that there were less candidates in the room. Apparently they had been taking candidates out of the room
And either offering a job or sending home.
I was in the room for about 20 min and then they called my name!!!! A recruiter coordinator took me into the hallway asked me, "how I was feeling", " what was the best part of your day" and then she asked me if I would love to join their family!
I was elated ! They wished me away to do a drug test , fingerprints and nicotine test .
This process was amazing! Everyone from the recruiters, to the flight attendants working the event and the team doing the onboarding treated you like family!
I start my training in the fall!!!!
In person at Alaska Airlines office.
Individual interview, second individual interview then lunch break , group interview.
It was very friendly and fun experience. Smile and interact other people
Ask questions and stand out
The interview process is lengthy and in depth. They really dive deep. Overall, it was a great experience and ensured that they find the right fit. I did end up accepting and am awaiting training.
