I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Airware (San Francisco, CA) in May 2014
Interview
The process was very thorough and enjoyable (as interviews go). Initial steps were phone screens and take home test. The test was to write a Python program that spawns multiple processes. During the onsite, I met with several engineers, discussed the usual problems of embedded avionics, did some coding (driver level), and talked some about development processes and standards.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were some driver level questions during the onsite, and my driver experience is little and far between. But they were fair and solid questions.
