Interview
Went through an HR screening, a 2-person 2nd round panel, and a 3-person final round. The questions centered around consulting style, experience and comfort with software and technology, and how you juggle multiple priorities or clients.
I believe my best experience was with the HR recruiter and her manager and it went very downhill from there. Recruiting is professional, has a personal touch (will call your phone if the information is better shared that way -- leaves courteous voicemails), and seemed to genuinely care about your success as an external applicant.
The final 3-person panel was bizarre in my experience. I was instructed to prepare a 30 minute demo of a software of my choice then allow 15 minutes for Q&A. I was praised for my ability to conduct the demo and answer questions but ultimately the panel seemed so completely checked out or uninterested in talking to me. In fact, the transition at 30 mins to the Q&A from a female interviewer was basically "okay enough of that let's please move on" and just seemed disrespectful to me.
I got the sense that maybe 2 or 3 of the panel either did not enjoy their jobs or want to be interviewing at al -- which either way has the effect of the applicant feeling like they dodged a bullet if they're rejected. I was rejected but considering the low total compensation, the sense this would be a stressful, overworked position, and lack of enthusiasm during the final round, I'd caution any applicants about applying to Accruent. There are simply better options out there.

What is your strategy for relationship management?
Accruent’s HR person set up a phone interview and then never actually called. She apologized the next day over email saying she was sick with no access to computer (?) and then rescheduled for the next Friday. Guess what, she ghosted on that interview too. This time no apology or further contact. Unprofessional!
