Security Operations Engineer - SOE Interview

      Aug 13, 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Prague
      Declined offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Accenture (Prague) in May 2019

      Interview

Without going into too much detail I will just say this - while interviewing you for an entry-intermediate level position they should explore the areas of knowledge where the candidate is the strongest and not the weakest. Once they have found a weak area (and believe me in the area of IT there will always be things you don't know), they focus on it like their life depends on it. At the final interview all became clear - they were attempting to make me believe I don't know anything in order to damage my morale and ask for a lower salary. I directly told them I am insulted with this offer and I started receiving weird (slightly arrogant) emails from the HR telling me they will discuss the salary once again with management. After a week they propose a salary 150 EUR higher (a month) than the last one. Not sure if I should cry or laugh.
