I interviewed for a role that I was overqualified for and encountered a disinterested hiring manager. I answered all the technical questions, but it seemed like a fact recital in how the manager presented the questions. My questions about the job responsibilities seemed to bore him, and he provided a very vague timeline when asked about the hiring process. It's been over a month without any follow-up, suggesting I've been ghosted.
Given the lack of enthusiasm and communication, it's difficult to see why anyone would be motivated to join that particular software team at AMD. The interview did not leave a positive impression of their team dynamics or respect for candidates.
