I applied online. I interviewed at AIHR (Rotterdam) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very smooth application, regular contact with HR and Direct Manager throughout the process. 4 stages to the application process, initial call with HR, mock discovery call with VP, interview with CEO/Direct Manager then a final on-site interview.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at AIHR in Apr 2026
Interview
Very disappointing experience, especially for a company in the HR space. The interviewer showed a clear lack of understanding of the difference between UI and UX, repeatedly asking for UI examples while I was already presenting them and explaining my work.
The interview felt unstructured, with repeated questions (e.g. about working independently) despite clear answers. Additionally, I was asked intrusive questions about my personal relocation situation, which were not relevant to the role.
Overall, I was surprised by the low level of professionalism and domain knowledge, as I would expect much more from an HR-focused company.
