      Good place to work

      Pros

Different benefits, like additional time off, birthday day off, working from anywhere 2 weeks, sweet Tuesdays, prolonged paternity leave etc For those who are handworkers and good performance, career progression happens fairly often You get exposure to leadership teams and seniors in the business because the company is relatively small, and it is great for development Great work/life balance, work is not overbearing and I don't think a lot of people experience burnout Trips to the UK/Serbia office

      Cons

Used to work in Villas in Serbia, but now we are more corporate and work in a business building, and we don't have parking provided by the company

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are very happy to read you find Hyperoptic a good place to work and enjoy the benefits - it's great to know these perks have made a positive impact on your experience. We're also proud that our culture supports career growth for hardworking, high-performing individuals and that you've found value in the exposure to leadership and development opportunities. We appreciate your feedback about the transition from villas to a more corporate setting in Serbia. While we’ve evolved, we’re always looking for ways to improve. Thanks again for being part of our journey and for sharing your experience, the Culture and Engagement Team

      Pros

Some benefits: private healthcare, discount on gym membership, day off on birthday and yearly increase in annual leave time (+1 day per year up to 35 max, starts at 25)

      Cons

Salaries are stagnating, company forcing people to hybrid working mode (3-day office, 2 at home) while we worked without any problems fully remote for years.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad to hear that you find our benefits, such as private healthcare, gym membership discounts, birthday leave, and the annual increase in leave time, valuable. We strive to offer benefits that support the well-being and work-life balance of our employees. Regarding your concerns about salaries, we regularly review salary structures to ensure they are fair and reflect the contributions of our employees. We have grown as a company in the last few years and decided to invest in our office space so we have a chance to work and have fun together. Our new office space is spacious, spanning three floors, and there are quite a number of fun activities happening, like board game Fridays, ping pong tournaments, and sweet Tuesdays. These activities enable us to get to know each other and grow together as a company. Some of our employees had never met their team's colleagues as we did not have enough space for everyone. This affects individuals, teams, and the company on many levels. We understand that it can be challenging to adjust, but we believe that in the long run, this will positively influence all of us as a company. Thank you again for your feedback. We appreciate your honesty and value your perspective as it helps us improve. The Culture and Engagement Team

      A backstabbers paradise

      Customer service

      Business outlook

      Pros

This goes without saying, but most of the coworkers are lovely genuine people who will become your friends sooner than you can imagine. Team-work is strong and whenever you need help, someone is there to help you. Salary is on time.

      Cons

People with little to no results are promoted and nobody really knows why, making the management really hard to respect. For the past year+ in CS, with the arrival of new management, there has been a really unhealthy atmosphere in the team, causing anyone who critiques any new initiatives to be ostracized, it's gone so far that team leaders aren't even asked for their opinion anymore, but everything is run by a few people with extremely limited knowledge and/or management expertise. There is a history of talking in a negative way about other colleagues with lower level employees, undermining other agents, managers or team leaders. About 10 cases are known of this happening, but HR refuses to do anything about this until mobbing charges are raised. They will only discuss things behind closed doors with no record of conversations, probably to save themselves from legal repercussions down the line. Seniority doesn't really grant you any rights. You will receive a 0% increase in your yearly salary review, with no real explanation why that is. They will tell you that feedback and the salary review are not mandatory. They will tell you that you're not a key player, but will not explain why you're not a key player. Budgets and benefits are being cut left and right, and there are rumors going around that the company is to be sold in the near future. Many people have been fired both in Serbia and the UK and essentially nobody is safe, if you're looking for a stable company, skip this one. Tools used to support the service are picked because they're cheap, not because they fit our workload best, leading to a billion problems usually taking months to fix. There's a massive cultural issue where Serbian employees are essentially considered lesser beings to their UK counterparts. There is 0 investment in people. If you're looking for learning, courses, seminars, forget about it, you will not find it here. If you're selected to conduct interviews, and it's your first time, you're just expected to know how to do it. If you're selected to manage a team, and it's your first time managing one, you're just expected to know how to do it.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take your feedback seriously and would urge you to contact your local HR Business Partner to discuss your experiences. We are committed to ensuring that every employee feels heard and valued, and we have policies in place, such as our grievance policy, to support this. We understand your concerns about the salary review process. Our annual salary reviews are designed to ensure fair remuneration based on job performance and market standards. However, not every review results in an increase, as it depends on various factors that are defined for each review cycle. We continuously review and enhance our employee benefits and learning programs. For instance, on the top of our existing offering including on line learning system that contains various leadership and functional trainings, we have recently introduced Rezilient as our Employee Assistance Programme to support everyone's wellbeing, and we are launching a new line manager development programme in Q2 this year. We are also investing in our people in other ways – for example, opening a new office in Belgrade and launching new AI-driven tools and systems to help make things easier for our people so they can continue to provide a 5-star experience for our customers. Thank you again for your feedback. We are committed to making Hyperoptic a great place to work and appreciate your insights. The Culture and Engagement Team
