Pros

They are the largest security risk company in the world. You will learn a lot from your coworkers, who reside all across the globe and come from a variety of different backgrounds. The work you do on a daily basis is meaningful and will give you valuable experience. The benefits package is nice

Cons

GardaWorld's upper management is perceived as hostile, including the CEO S. Cretier. There was a lack of transparency about the acquisition, meanwhile dozens of employees were let go or left for other opportunities, making it feel like a sinking ship. GardaWorld has been involved in several high profile scandals, just look at the Tampa Bay Times articles. GardaWorld has a predatory mindset and will acquire smaller companies and raid their technology while ousting those who created the tech in the first place. The company seems to be much more focused on reaching certain financial goals rather than customer satisfaction. The products GardaWorld distributed prior to the acquisition were inferior to its competitors. Some managers are ignorant about what the intel team produces, despite being the company's backbone. No sense of company culture, as there are no social events and the environment is tense from uncertainty about the acquisition.

Advice to Management

Be more transparent and compassionate when you acquire a company. Treat your employees as if they are people rather than numbers.

Pros

As long as you do the bare minimum, no one will bother you. They send you a stupid Christmas and birthday card every year, which gets a generic thank you written in it by someone who is guaranteed to have never met you, so that's nice, I guess.

Cons

Scheduling department is rude asf. Most floaters are garbage who don't do the bare minimum and never show up in proper uniform. Management is non existent half of the time. They hire CSM's who don't know how to fulfill their most basic roles. If you need anything for your site, plan on waiting months or even up to a year in our case, to get it. Benefits are a complete joke. You're better off being on state medical, because their medical coverage is essentially a $600 a month box of band-aids. Don't ever look at this place as a career. It's just a job, and one that incentivizes mediocrity.

Advice to Management

Go out and visit your sites on a regular basis. Stop begging your employees to rate you highly on glassdoor so that you can peddle it for more contracts, which you'll pay at a disgustingly low rate, and then won't be able to staff, putting a higher burden on the good officers you have, thus burning them out and triggering another wave of high turnover.

If you're a casual you only get called in. You don't get insurance benefits or pay into a pension, hours are unpredictable

Advice to Management

Allow casual workers to pay into pension and benefits

Pros

Health Insurance, 401k, FSA, Company Paid Life Insurance, Flexible Work Schedule, Generous PTO. Paid Leave plans.

Cons

Could offer health insurance that includes hospitalization coverage instead of requiring employees to pay for a separate Hospital Indemnity plan.

Advice to Management

Continue to grow as a company with your offerings to employees.
