      Pros

Work-life-balance, fairly paid compensation, good working community.

      Cons

Flat-organization - promotions are hard to get by (as to the work title itself). However, even if there are no usual promotions, annual salary increase is normally still guaranteed.

      Business outlook

      Pros

It's just a job, that's it. I have job security right now.

      Cons

People in glass door that says Chevron is a great place to work, I can guarantee they're salary. If you're hourly here, you're just an expendable peon to management. They promised large raises ans bonuses when I started because I took a large pay cut. That was a lie. Their bonuses aren't great and this year we got a 0.9% raise. Are you kidding me. That's not even cost of of living yet they profited billions. Mechanics are the lowest paid trade here. Not only that, theyre the lowest paying company ive seen in West Texas. No per diem, no travel pay. As low as they pay, they should pay a travel stipend. I've never worked for an oilfield company where the highly skilled mechanics are treated like trash. Management rarely will back you mainly because they have no idea what's going in the field so they have no leg to stand on so they're just yes men to operations.

      Pros

Decent pay and annual raises are above average. You also receive small bonus throughout the year for project work.

      Cons

Terrible leadership. So disconnected and the company does not like to employ Americans. More and more they’re offshoring all professional jobs.

      Pros

The pay is okay. That’s really it.

      Cons

This company has gone down hill. No one takes pride in their work anymore. Company has killed morale. Raised have been very low in the past years and they are reducing the salary structure. Outsourcing to India, “we work better when we collaborate”

      Great People, Terrible Company

      I&e analyst
      Former employee
      Midland, TX
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

9/80 schedule WFH M/Friday Great benefits 10% Permian pay increase Company does a phenomenal job with family events and activities for employees.

      Cons

Lack of clear direction from senior leadership is alarming. ENGINE has cut-off career ladders for hundreds of people. MW is more concerned about the dividend and keeping his job than building an E&P that will be competitive in 10 years.
