Leadership at the market level is toxic and driven by favoritism. Leaders are expected to work 50+ hours a week, and market leaders shift their responsibilities and workload onto leaders below while providing little to no guidance or support. BofA continues to lose strong employees, especially in the Miami market—not because of the company itself, but because of toxic leadership that causes burnout. The company wastes time and money training employees who ultimately leave due to poor leadership, not lack of commitment or performance. The company needs to seriously evaluate its market leaders and address why so many employees are leaving. Until leadership culture changes, turnover will continue.
