February marks the annual celebration of Black History Month, and here at Zapier, we’ve been intentional about providing time and space for continuous learning and celebration all month long. This Wednesday, Zapier's BIPOC ERG (Black, Indigenous, People of Color Employee Resource Group) is welcoming teammates around the world to participate in a lecture-style session that goes beyond traditional history lessons. We’ll dive into the rich history of African people before Transatlantic enslavement and understand why February was chosen for this celebration. We encourage you to read the latest PowerToFly listicle, which showcases how Zapier is honoring Black History Month alongside 25+ other companies. In the latest CRO Confidential episode, Giancarlo Lionetti (GC), CRO of Zapier, shares insights on Product-Led Growth (PLG) and Go-To-Market (GTM). With vast experience from Atlassian, Dropbox, and Confluent, GC discusses Zapier's hybrid GTM model and the importance of balancing short and long-term needs, considering product maturity, and distinguishing between experimental and scaling roles. He emphasizes the need for a collaborative approach between product and sales, leveraging both PLG's volume game and sales' targeted approach. GC also highlights the significance of understanding the customer journey and when to introduce a sales motion into a PLG strategy. Ultimately, the success of GTM hinges on aligning strategies with the unique needs and complexities of the business while prioritizing high ROI activities across product marketing, demand generation, and sales functions. When considering embedding generative AI into your business’ operational fabric, where do you start? 🤔 Reid Robinson, lead product manager for AI at Zapier, became a part of a small team dedicated to this issue at Zapier back in 2022. He recently shared his take on the BetaKit podcast. “A good starting point for businesses exploring generative AI is to think about those ‘skeleton-in-the-closet’ business problems, and where AI could help provide a solution.” Reid shared some of the ways Zapier has been automating workflows with AI, such as our integration with ChatGPT and our launch of Formatter with AI. ⚡ You can hear the full conversation by clicking on the link at the bottom of the blog.

We’ve heard you loud and clear: our plans aren’t working for your needs. We’re excited to share three BIG changes to help you get the most out of Zapier. 1️⃣ More Zaps: Build as many Zaps as you want on the Free and Starter Plans. We’re removing the limits of five and 20 Zaps, respectively. This means *every* plan offers unlimited Zaps. 2️⃣ More flexible: Pay-per-task billing when you go above your plan’s limit, for all plans. Now, if you go over your plan’s task limit, you can pay-as-you-go for additional tasks used. 3️⃣ More valuable: Filter, Formatter, and Paths by Zapier no longer count as tasks. We want you to build your Zaps the way you want to. This makes your advanced workflows much more cost-effective. For a long time, we've worked hard to innovate our products, but we haven't done enough to innovate on price. This is the first step in making Zapier more valuable to our customers.
Navigating the complexities of workplace models requires careful consideration for both business success and employee well-being. In a recent conversation, Liza Mash Levin, Co-Founder and CEO at Gable, sat down with Brandon Sammut, Chief People Officer at Zapier, and Jessica Swang, Chief People Officer at Box, where they discussed challenges, strategies, and advice on choosing the right workplace model. Three key insights were derived from their conversation: 1. The workplace is not a dichotomy – it’s a spectrum. Your company can be remote, hybrid, in-office, or a mix of all three. 2. Building workplaces that support culture requires defining what kind of culture you want to create and what types of actions support it. 3. Managers and employees may look at concepts like "productivity" differently, which leads to tension when discussing workplace policy and perception Brandon and Jessica delved into the significance of defining what culture means, asking (and answering) the right questions, fostering intentional in-person connections, and ensuring team alignment on productivity. You can listen to their conversation or read the brief linked here to learn more about the approaches they’ve taken toward building an effective workplace model: http://tinyurl.com/3hwmf2hb
