Come prepared to interview with our hiring managers. The Data Center Security Officer is responsible for maintaining the physical security of a critical customer site. Daily responsibilities include managing/maintaining Access Control, Cameras and Work order systems. At Sunstates, we don't just secure sites; we look out for the people within them. Security sometimes requires going beyond the standard scope of service to assist someone in need. This was recently demonstrated in Glasgow, KY, when a routine afternoon became a life-saving mission for our site team. While in the break room, an individual began choking, and several Sunstates officers immediately stepped in to assist. The response was a coordinated effort. Officers Daniel Shaw, Caleb Cave, and Camron Smothers reacted instantly, with Officer Shaw initiating the Heimlich maneuver. Their quick thinking and teamwork were successful; they fully dislodged the obstruction. Simultaneously, Officer AJ Hanner managed the emergency communications, contacting an ambulance and ensuring medical personnel were en route without delay. Following the incident, the site management team expressed their deep gratitude to the officers for their composure and quick actions. To mark this exceptional service, the region is awarding Officer Shaw a Sunstates Challenge Coin, recognizing his decisive action in a moment that truly mattered.
