This morning, Sunstates Security was featured on Good Morning, Wake County’s podcast, highlighting our incredible officers' commitment to saving lives and our efforts to raise awareness and funds for the American Heart Association. This Saturday, Sunstates will be participating in the Triangle Heart Walk in Raleigh, NC, where our corporate office is located. We are excited to announce that we have already surpassed our goal of raising $8,000, but there is still time to donate! Funds support vital research, education, and life-saving initiatives such as supplying AEDs. Learn more about the Triangle Heart walk by clicking the link below. The American Heart Association estimates that more than 350,000 cardiac arrests occur outside of hospitals each year in the United States. When bystanders act quickly with CPR, survival rates can double or even triple. That's why we're proud that more than 3,000 Sunstates officers across the country are CPR-certified, and many have stepped in during real emergencies to save someone's life. We are committed to protecting our communities every day and to helping build a safer, healthier future for everyone. 🎧 Listen here: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/raleigh-security-firm-pledges-%248k-trains-3-000-officers/id1814911372?i=1000730600036

At Sunstates Security, our dedication to safety goes beyond traditional guarding. We're proud of our long-standing partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), which began over 10 years ago. Our executive leadership recognized the vital importance of this training, especially as our presence in public spaces continued to grow. Site Supervisor Mildrena Ricks of the Raleigh region recently received acknowledgment for her exceptional actions when an unaccompanied child was found at her client site. Her quick thinking and attentiveness were on full display when she recognized that the child was non-verbal. Immediately, the authorities were contacted while searching for the child's guardian. Mildrena’s actions ensured the child's safety and well-being. This incident perfectly illustrates the value of our NCMEC training. All Sunstates employees are required to complete this highly interactive course as part of their onboarding. The training, which includes videos, real-life case studies, and practical reminders, equips our team with the essential knowledge to identify and respond to situations involving missing or exploited children. #Training #GreatWork #EmployeeRecognition #Security #SecurityTeam #SecurityServices #SecurityCompany #Raleigh #RaleighBusiness #NorthCarolinaBusiness

Over the past two weeks, several members of our corporate team became CPR-certified. A big thank you to Regional Trainer Tracy Keel for popping over from our Raleigh regional office to lead the training and certification process. CPR is a vital skill at Sunstates, with over 50% of our team holding a current certification. Our commitment to these life-saving skills was highlighted by our 2025 Officer of the Year, Aaron Polak, from the Fort Lauderdale region. In October 2024, Officer Polak used his CPR and EMT training to save the life of a resident at a senior living community. We're proud to continue supporting the American Heart Association's Triangle Heart Walk. Our CEO, Denis Kelly, is once again part of the "Executives with Heart" group, networking with other leaders and companies to increase participation and fundraising for this important cause.
