What a week it's been for team Asana! We're grateful to our whole team for making Asana a place where everyone can be their whole selves, so they can do their best work and thrive. Thank you to Comparably for this recognition - it means so much to us! http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vMEvD
Meet Katie De Carlo, this week's #AsanaWomenWednesday feature! Katie is on our People Ops Team, and has been on team Asana for over 2 years. "Being part of Team Rainbow, one of our employee resource groups, provides an incredible opportunity for me to be around smart, unique, kind people, who show up with intelligence and vulnerability to engage in interesting, challenging, and relevant conversation. Every time someone shows up as themselves - I feel that. I feel the vulnerability of opening up, the hope in building more inclusivity, and mostly the trust that exists within these walls. I feel supported, which allows me to be my true self."
At Asana, we strive to create a high-performing workplace culture that is welcoming & empowering. We believe that diversity impacts our culture and the growth of our business, so we're focused on building an inclusive team to help us achieve our ambitious goals. This week's #AsanaWomenWednesday is McKenna Farrar, who started in our San Francisco office as a Mid-Market Account Executive, and moved to Sydney to be part of our landing team that opened our flagship APAC office earlier this year. "I've called San Francisco home for most of my life, so moving across the world was scary but exciting. My manager convinced me this would be the experience of a lifetime, and something I would regret not doing. This was all the encouragement I needed to step out of my comfort zone and take this leap of faith! The Sydney office and its culture are so unique - we have a small but mighty team!" "The Dublin office has an amazing atmosphere. We have our own special traditions, like our "kudos sessions" to express gratitude & our Narwhal office mascot, which is the ultimate token of appreciation! There is an outstanding level of cross-functional collaboration, and a phenomenal work/life balance, which makes working for Asana Dublin super special and fun."
Such a treat for us and the working parents at Asana to bring their kids into the office for Take Your Child to Work Day this week! We had a packed day filled with crafts with our Design team, coding with our Engineering team, and kid-friendly lunches from our Culinary team. The future is bright! http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vMP5q
This Earth Day, we're excited to share that we've taken steps to mitigate our contribution to global climate change by offsetting our carbon footprint—roughly equivalent to the CO2 emissions of 120 vehicles per year! Here's what we did. http://glassdoor.com/slink.htm?key=vM5oI
