Pros

None - I regret not reading the reviews on here first, just look how many 1 stars they have and they’re all accurate.

Cons

Truly an awful place in every way, shape and form. The product itself is terrible, and management, specifically North America, is one of the most clueless individuals I’ve come across. They claim they’re all about transparency, but that could not be further from the truth. Next thing you know everyone on your team is fired for no reason whatsoever with no feedback on why. They claim you’ll have ownership - again, very false. If you’re exceeding quota and taking ownership over everything you’ll still be fired. Management feels threatened if you challenge them and try to make things more efficient when things aren’t working. Management relies on AI for anything and everything. You are presented with a script to read word for word in calls. Management would come to call reviews unprepared, mention improvements and information I should’ve gotten only to remind her I did all of that. She relied on AI notes and based her assumptions on that. Lazy and not fit for the role. We are selling an outbound tool saying we can get other sales team more meetings, etc when we ourselves aren’t able to generate any outbound meetings. Should tell you everything you need to know. Many cases of management unjustly firing employees a week before probation period is up so they can do so legally without cause; not to mention right before the holidays with no prior warnings on things to improve on and even when the reps are doing exactly what they’re suppose to be doing. One of the worst decisions of my life was joining this place.

Hey, Thanks for the detail, genuinely. A one-line review is easy to wave off, this one isn't, and I'd rather sit with the hard version than the polished one. I'm sorry the experience didn't match what you expected when you came on board. I'll be honest about where we are. The US is still a young market for us, and we're actively building out leadership there. We don't get everything right yet, and feedback like this is part of how we see the gaps. That work is already underway, it isn't starting today. One thing I want to be clear on, because it goes to who we are: this isn't only about hitting quota. We care as much about how people work as about what they deliver. When conduct or team fit falls short, we act on it, within the rules and with respect for the person, and strong numbers don't buy a pass on that. I'm not going to litigate specifics in a public thread. You deserve a real conversation, and so does the team. If you're open to it, reach out to me directly or to HR. I read every one of these myself. All the best,

Pros

Some people do genuinely enjoy this job - if you are the type to enjoy an adrenaline rush from a workplace with expectations and goals that are constantly changing and are comfortable with the mentality of "it's not just a job, it's a lifestyle," then you might be ok here. Personally, it put me in the worst mental state of my life, and I left before the end of my trial period.

Cons

Didn't love it. Here's why I left: - extremely high turnover of people quitting or being let go - Many people fired within weeks, or days, after they started - an unspoken policy to renew trial periods (expect a trial period that will last a total of 8 months) -employees put in positions they are not prepared for, with 0 support - told "it's ok to try and fail" then fired if you do indeed try then fail -'anonymous' surveys sent to gather honest opinions, then managers who will seek out and scold those who left negative feedback - A lack of clear expectations given for your role (in many cases you find out what the expectations were in the context of your not having met them) - Get generous vacation days, but receive tension if you ask for them -9+ hour workdays -Feedback on your work such as (and I quote): "WTF," or "NO"

Hey I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your time at lempire, and what you describe is very far from what is wished. Thus, this draws concerns and I'd be really curious to discuss actual examples to understand how your perception can be so far aways from what we are seeing internally, and even the feedbacks we have on eNPS surveys. Let me answer to some points Extremely high turnover: we had some turnover in early 2023, and we communicated transparently with everyone that we made hirings that didn't fully fit the culture we are trying to build. Since Q3 2023, our attrition has been very low and below market standards, so maybe you are referring to an earlier time Many people were fired within weeks: this is not the case as per our data. We have had 1 person leaving after 1 month and over 18 hires in the last 6 months. No other case of early departures Extended trial period: This is incorrect information. Over half of trial periods were validated before being renewed—sometimes even before the first renewal term. The policy is that we validate the trial periods when we have a strong conviction that the person is a fit for the job. Employee without support: this is more subjective to answer, but all our managers are trained with a full day of management training every month. We decided to invest in early talented people, and we train them with individual coaches and professional management coaches Fired for failing: I don’t know of any case where someone has been fired for a mistake. When we have to let go of people, there is always a prior written document with the list of improvement areas, and we never fire people for 1 mistake- I don’t think there would be anyone left in the company if that were the case Lack of clear expectations for a role: that can be the case that expectations vary over time for sure, as we are a very fast-moving company. We usually try to give scorecards. Sorry if it hasn’t been the case, it’s important not to hesitate to escalate this type of concern when they arise Holidays: I’m concerned you received requests during the holidays. I would be grateful if you could share examples because I think that’s an isolated practice or simply just a communication issue. Feedback on work: same as above- happy to discuss That being said, sorry again if you didn’t like your time at lempire. Don’t hesitate to reach out and provide examples; I haven't heard about this type of issue recently. Best Charles (COO)

Pros

If you work at lemlist you will gain a thorough understanding of how to harass you personal LinkedIn network to sell a cold email software which doesn’t even work

Cons

Horrible company culture. If you don’t stay until 10pm in the office you are not performing properly in their eyes. Rude management with no clue how to manage a team (Some managers as young as 21!!), let alone have a civilised human conversation. Constant fear culture and make sure to only whisper in the office because this is for some reason normal. This company thrives on passive aggression and once they randomly lay you off because they can’t afford you anymore, they will treat you like you never existed and scam you out of any financial support. Avoid at all costs.
